The Project Management Committee (PMC) for Apache Ignite
has invited Dmitry Pavlov to become a committer and we are pleased to announce that he has accepted. Dmitriy is an active member of the Apache Ignite community. He is an author of the great 'Make TeamCity Green Again' initiative [1] which already improved tests stability a lot. Also, he implemented an option to use direct IO to reduce page buffer cache overuse [2] and thoroughly investigated the process of page replacement mechanism and identified a major issue with Ignite page mapping table [3]. Moreover, Dmitriy is the author of Ignite memory and persistence under the hood series [4] and [5], partition map exchange guide [6] and many other documentation pages. Being a committer enables easier contribution to the project since there is no need to go via the patch submission process. This should enable better productivity. Being a PMC member enables assistance with the management and to guide the direction of the project.
